This June I traveled to St. Louis to take part in Tom Huck's Evil Prints Woodcut Bootcamp. During the week that I was there I carved and printed a large-scale woodcut. It was an amazing experience and I'm thinking about doing it again next year. Here are some pictures of the process and the finished print.
I finished the Bird in the Hand print. Still not sure if I'm going to do a two in the bush print to compliment it or not. Just have to find the perfect paper to pull the edition on...I'm thinking Mulberry.
now that I'm back from the conference and all filled with inspiration I finally started something new. something that I'm happy with too. It's going to be part of a diptych (maybe) that is, only if the second image is as strong as this one.
here's a fancy schmancy picture of my wolf head reductive woodcut print I did last semester. It was my first time working with wood. Inspired by tattoo flash designs. You can buy one of these from me for the fabulous price of $30! just shoot me an email at e.hagarty91@gmail.com
