Don't Count Your Chickens

This is an etching I started last week, it was going to be used with another plate for a two-color print but things didn't work out. I re-created this image again with 2 other plates for the color prints and I'm going to finish etching this one and maybe watercolor some of the prints I pull. The image is more or less inspired by the thought of pregnancy and miscarriages. I started with the idiom but it turned into something more personal. Although, not counting your chickens before they hatch is an idea I think just about all of us can relate too.

A Bird in the Hand

I finished the Bird in the Hand print. Still not sure if I'm going to do a two in the bush print to compliment it or not. Just have to find the perfect paper to pull the edition on...I'm thinking Mulberry.
