Dog Days

Here's a sweet little watercolor I just finished. I've been inspired by the songs of the cicadas that I've started to hear recently. Painted this is Aquaboard..not quite the same as drawing on paper, but this surface is solid so I can erase a million times with no problems, and it take the pigments really well.

Never Forget

Paying respect to a snack food I couldn't even eat.

Twin Peaks

The first of many Twin Peaks inspired paintings I will be doing. This one was based off the bird from the opening credits, an image that gets stuck in my head after watching episode after episode on Netflix. If you've never seen Twin Peaks you should probably check it out.

Jon Snow

here's a painting I did that was inspired by a baby bird that I cared for for a while. He was pretty cool and once he could fly he joined his bird buddies.

Sheep in Wolf's Clothing

I've had a sketch of this sitting in my moleskine for months and finally decided to draw it out and paint it. Prints will be made soon so you can own a copy of this if you want...

Me!

I finally made a self-portrait that I'm happy with! yay! My hair is so much fun to do in watercolor...so...much...red. Can you tell I like peonies? Like a lot? haha

Not sure if this is done or not. I may add a few more finishing touches (if my paint pen decides to work) and touch up some of the lines.

The idea for this popped in my head after watching the season 2 premiere of Boardwalk Empire. They played "After You Get What You Want" a few times in the epsiode and the lyrics got stuck in my head. I'm pretty happy with how it came out. And as always, might get prints made of this.

Mars Attacks

not completely finished with this piece yet but I just wanted to share it right now. I'm diggin the way my watercolors are coming out on it. Mars Attacks! has always scared the crap out of me, even though it's a silly movie, the aliens freak me out and the girl's head on the dog body....*shudder* Anyways, this is for a Halloween show at Tate's Comics.

Sinking Feeling

finished this piece today. getting prints made of it asap. let me know if you want one!

here is a scan of a proof that I watercolored on top of. I really like the way printmaking paper takes to watercolors. I will definitely be experimenting more with this technique in the future with the other proofs I have pulled.

This might end up being a wedding gift for my Grandmother..not sure yet. If not I'll probably put it up on etsy if anyone would be interested in owning it or any like this! (let me know!)

So here's a tiny version of something I drew up and painted for my best friend. The banner has lyrics from the Big D song "Shining On". This was really fun to do...I hope she likes it!

Here's a preview of a piece I'm almost finished with (just gotta paint that damn anchor). It started out as a rough sketch in my sketchbook one night when I was feeling really stressed out. It pretty much sums up how I feel 75% of the time, and I'm pretty sure a lot of people can relate. It usually hits me when I think about the future and how a lot of things are out of my control.
Anywho...prints will be made of this if anyone is interested in owning a copy.
